The Revolving Fund (RF) established in 1981 is a good example of co-operation between the littoral States (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore) and the users of the Straits; the Malacca Strait Council (MSC) focusing to safeguard the marine environment in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore (Straits).
